# Remove Tool

Use the **Remove Tool** to quickly clean up small distractions in photos. It works best on thin objects like wires, small clutter, and minor blemishes.

### Use the Remove tool

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Start removing

Open the **Adjust** panel. Click **Start removing**.

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Paint what you want removed

Paint over the object(s) you want to remove.

You can change brush size, toggle eraser, or clear the mask from the tool options.

<div align="left"><figure><img src="/files/kmQH5G660X0chQqZoYZV" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Run Remove

Press **Enter** or click **Remove**.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

### Keyboard shortcuts

* `[` / `]`: Resize brush
* `E`: Toggle eraser
* `Space`: Pan
* `Enter`: Remove

### Undo

Use the **Undo** icon to revert the last removal.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Pro tip**

You can remove multiple items in one pass. Paint multiple masks, then press **Enter** once.

You can also run Remove again on a photo you already edited with Remove.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Avoid removing large objects. The model has to “guess” what’s behind them. That can create unrealistic results.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://uni.fotello.co/photos/personalizing-photos/remove-tool.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
